It may happen that you find yourself in a situation where UptimeBot reports too many alerts about short outages, that are not critical for your business needs. The reason might be in alert sensitivity which defines how long we wait before notifying you of a downtime. In UptimeBot the alert sensitivity is high (2 minutes) by default. However, if you're not worried about 2-minute downtimes, you can set this value to Medium (5 minutes) or even Low (10 minutes), and you won’t be notified.
Let's go to the Slack Apps section and find UptimeBot there. Open its Home tab and click the View All Checks button, a modal window with your checks will open up giving you a chance to edit it by tapping on the Show more button.
A new window will pop up that will allow you to change the alert sensitivity.
Having changed the alert sensitivity, don't forget to click on the Save button.
