How to search for a string in the response?

If your site or server still responds with a HTTP 2XX status code, however, you want to get more meaningful alerts, you should add text to the Search for string field for the tested URL to narrow the types of errors UptimeBot will detect and mark as an outage. 

UptimeBot check performs a GET request to the site you’ve specified and can include searching for a particular string in the HTML of the site. The string that is being looked up can be present anywhere on the page otherwise the check will fail.

Let's find UptimeBot in your Slack Apps section, open the Home tab, and hit Start Monitoring. A Web Page Monitoring window will pop-up giving you a chance to fill out the Search for string field.

Please note that the bot requests only basic HTML page with no any static files like images or JavaScript files, so the text should be on the page originally, not added dynamically.
